Qessasna, Our Stories

At Farah Bourogaa, we are always looking to minimize our impacts on the planet, our communities, our homes, and hope our consumers do the same. Hence, since the beginning of our trajectory, we began to test our understanding of how we could possibly create a brand englobing all these notions. Most importantly, we value the connections created between us, our artisans and clients, hence, we make sure that we deliver a story, our stories. Beyond that, and beyond the delivery of quality, we create pieces that have a long shelf life, just like how Dunia passed down her pieces to Farah, the healthy longevity of our pieces are a key to our design and production process.

We believe in passing down pieces from generation to another to avoid waste, to be part of your loving memories and above all, to be storytellers of our people, your people and create a legacy. Since the genesis of the brand, we have been using a no-waste method where we made sure all our materials are as least harmful as possible as well as sourcing upcycled/recycled materials of the highest quality. In addition, our line of work at FARAH BOUROGAA runs around the concept of familiarity where we know every person behind every pattern, stitch and ultimately garment. Moreover, artisans are the essence of every part of our craft, we heavily rely on their talent, expertise but above all their stories transmitted through their passion and renowned professional excellence.

Your Pieces

All the people we have worked with to create our pieces are based around Lebanon, The Emirates, Egypt, and Spain.

Each thread is known to us, in other words, at Farah Bourogaa, we know who created each piece. Each person catered to the needs of creating the garments no matter the difficulty of fulfilling some of the pieces, and the circumstances.

At Farah Bourogaa, people are the essence of our craft. Hence, your garments are made with love and care to details.

Bag Factory

The Besat bag is a creation of Farah Bourogaa, yet the assembling of it happens in a beautiful family factory based in Lebanon founded in 1980 by a father and son. They have kept their craft and charm since they opened their doors.

Heels Factory

The factory we work with is based in Lebanon. It was founded in 1965, hence being a generational passed down love for the craft. Today it has seventeen workers, of which 3 patronistes.

PACKAGING MANUFACTURERS IN EGYPT

We had the honor of working with a social organization that houses women and teaches them skills while making sure they have the proper conditions of work and above all, stability and wages that can enable them to be breadwinners. Everything they do is done ethically, the materials are all organic, while all the craftsmanship is taught by masters. No trace of any plastic or any non-organic product.

END OF LIFE

At Farah Bourogaa, every piece has a long shelf life. However, if there is a chance of it coming to the end of its life, we would love to hear your suggestions on how we could recycle them or even get them back at our factories to reuse them for you!
